Sanity and Urges

Dawson Oaks Trailer Park makes sanity a meter you cannot hide forever. Striped Panda Studios, the Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies team, plans a Steam Windows launch for 17 September 2026 at $9.99 USD after moving the date from 10 September to polish an entirely new map. The title is still upcoming. The top bar is SANITY and the left panel is URGES. Completing an urge restores the bar. Waiting too long makes you unstable, and unstable people are easy to expose.

Spawn habits live on the beginner lobby walkthrough. Meetings and arrests live on how the match loops. This page is the meter: what the HUD is shouting, which role lists playtests showed, and how to restore without handing the public Supervisor a free bust.

Read the whole HUD, not just the green bar

Playtest screenshots stacked more than a sanity fill. A Meeting timer tells you when the Community Center is about to steal your walk. An Arrest timer tells you the cop has committed. A crime banner can take the entire width: YOU ARE COMMITTING A CRIME! IF THE SUPERVISOR SEES YOU, THEY CAN PUNISH YOU! If BEING NEAR THE SUPERVISOR is also lit, walk off the marker.

Status chips sit around the same chrome. Playtests showed High, Luck, and Piss from weed, gambling, and drinking. Each chip changes how you look and how you sound in proximity voice chat. A Junkie who walks the lot High is advertising. Treat chips as clothing you chose to wear.

Tab still opens Role Details so you can reread the list without asking voice chat to remind you. Playtest prompts (E pick up, G drop, C drink, throw, or smoke) live on the keyboard and controller layout. A finished Dale & Dawson task is a chore; a finished urge here is a crime scene.

Role lists we can actually document

Eleven suspect roles share the park: Drug Dealer, Junkie, Moonshine Cook, Creep, Scrapper, Pyromaniac, Gambler, Thief, Drunk, Prankster, and Hobo. Hidden Snitches wear one of those as a cover and still have to look busy. We do not invent missing sheets.

Junkie: get high in your trailer, buy weed, get high somewhere else, spray air freshener, collect plastic cans, listen to country, eat a banana. Buying is the leak. Air freshener is the cleanup tell after a borrowed kitchen. The banana and the stereo are camouflage if you do not announce them.

Moonshine Cook: sell to a player, sell to the bartender, collect cans, run a batch, buy milk and put it in the fridge. Bartender sales happen in Piss Creek Saloon. Player sales stay quiet until the buyer talks. Milk is the alibi that is not a crime if you keep your mouth shut.

Drunk: get drunk, blow up a mailbox, steal booze, piss, smash a bottle outdoors. Most of that list is porch theater. Steal while the Supervisor is in a meeting, not on your steps. Creep: bathe in someone else’s tub, lure someone into your trailer, throw a bottle, spend time in a trailer that is not yours, follow for 20 seconds. Two silhouettes vanishing into the same doorway is a report without a Snitch text.

Other roles still drain sanity even when we lack a full official list. Scrappers chase scrap and cans. Gamblers live on saloon cabinets. Dealers exist so Junkies can buy. Rank how loud those loops look on the suspect role tier list.

Restore in pieces, not as a playlist

Do one restore, leave, talk on a porch like a resident, then do the next restore somewhere else. Junkies should not buy and smoke in the same breath. Trading and items is the legal-looking half of the same meter: $1 Increase and Decrease offers, weed zip bags, joints, beer, moonshine, and plastic cans. Carry a can even if you are not a Scrapper. Marker names live on the park map and landmarks.

If the banner is up, cancel with your feet. The stealth crime walkthrough is the long version of that sentence. Indoor kitchens, a WC, and a bathtub exist so the animation has a wall. Do not restore in the Community Center doorway or on the saloon rail while the Supervisor nametag is in the lot.

Sanity still applies in meetings and on cover roles

Suspects call a meeting to vote out the Snitch, not the public cop. People who never touch an urge look like informants. People who dump three urges in one trailer look like suspects who want to be arrested. Hit the middle. Voted-out players receive Community Service and can only speak inside Piss Creek Saloon. That is not a second restore room for the living.

If you rolled the cop, stop managing this meter and open the Supervisor playbook. If you rolled a Snitch cover, you still restore. Playtests often seated one or two Snitches; absence of crime is still the tell those sessions punished. Confirm a mic on the lobby checklist. The roles hub is the roster, the Guides Hub is the index, and the preview and review is the pitch if you are still deciding. Track 17 September on the release date page; there are no public promo codes on the codes hub. The playtest clip on this page is a lobby recording: sanity on the bar, roles on the left, and a police call that starts because somebody restored in the wrong doorway.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about roles, meetings, and the Steam launch.

What does the SANITY bar actually do?

It drops if you ignore left-panel URGES. Completing an urge restores it. Wait too long and you become unstable and easier to expose. Details sit in how the match loops.

Which Junkie, Cook, Drunk, and Creep urges are documented?

Junkie: get high at home or elsewhere, buy weed, spray air freshener, collect cans, listen to country, eat a banana. Cook: sell to a player or bartender, collect cans, run a batch, buy milk for the fridge. Drunk: get drunk, blow up a mailbox, steal booze, piss, smash a bottle outdoors. Creep: bathe in someone else's tub, lure, throw a bottle, follow 20 seconds. Full roster is on suspects.

What do High, Luck, and Piss mean?

Status chips from weed, gambling, and drinking. They change how you look and sound in proximity voice. Wear them indoors, not on the Community Center steps.

Should I restore if I see BEING NEAR THE SUPERVISOR?

No. Cancel with your feet. The crime banner means the animation is live. Use how not to get caught and trade later via trading.

Do Snitches still have to manage sanity?

Yes. Cover roles still drain. A Pyromaniac who never burns looks like an informant. Playtests often seated one or two Snitches. See the Snitch page.
