Dawson Oaks Trailer Park and Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies come from the same indie shop: Striped Panda Studios. If you spent nights in a fluorescent office watching a Manager hunt Slackers, the Dawson Oaks HUD will feel like a cousin. The park is still an upcoming Steam Windows title, planned for 17 September 2026 at $9.99 USD. This page compares the two designs. We will not invent patch notes for either game.

Shared DNA: the left-panel list

The thing both games actually share is the left-panel task list. In Dale & Dawson it is office work, coffee-break slacking, and sabotage that Slackers should not narrate. In Dawson Oaks the same column is labeled urges. Completing a line restores sanity and, if the public Supervisor can see you, paints a crime banner across the HUD. Players who treat the park like a stationery shift will crime in the open and get arrested. The list is homework. The banner is the difference.

Dale & Dawson is an office social-deduction party game. Steam copy is short: play Manager, Specialist, or Slacker. Specialists keep the company running. Slackers mimic them. The Manager fires people. The store page also sells proximity voice: talk in earshot, accuse in meetings, keep the copier humming. Dawson Oaks keeps that “you must keep moving” pressure and relocates it to dirt lots, trailers, and a saloon. Steam lists Dale & Dawson with a 30 August 2024 store date. Dawson Oaks is still sitting behind a planned 17 September 2026 unlock. Do not import the older SKU’s calendar or price. The park is Windows Steam at $9.99.

What the park changes on purpose

Dawson Oaks does not hide the cop. The Supervisor nametag is public. Everyone can see who holds the whistle. The hidden piece is the Snitch, who wears a cover from the eleven suspects and feeds intel. Suspects can call a meeting in the Community Center and vote that informant out. Voted-out players do not roam; they talk in Piss Creek Saloon.

That is a different social graph from Dale & Dawson. There, the Manager is the special seat: they observe, call meetings, and fire Slackers hiding among Specialists. Here you are not guessing who the authority is. You are guessing who is wearing a Junkie or Pyromaniac mask while texting the cop. Read the Supervisor playbook before you try to play the public hunter like a hidden Manager.

Crime banners are the other transplant. Steam copy for Dawson Oaks is blunt: commit role-specific urges to stay sane, but do not make it obvious. The HUD screams YOU ARE COMMITTING A CRIME! IF THE SUPERVISOR SEES YOU, THEY CAN PUNISH YOU! How not to get caught is the park version of “do not pet the cat in the Manager’s doorway.” Trading a zip bag or moonshine looks like neighborhood business until that nametag is in the lot. Proximity voice is how you leak a role without meaning to. Do not narrate your left-panel list on a porch.

Roles, not cubicles

Dale & Dawson roles are workplace archetypes. Dawson Oaks roles are trailer-park crimes: Drug Dealer, Junkie, Moonshine Cook, Creep, Scrapper, Pyromaniac, Gambler, Thief, Drunk, Prankster, Hobo. Pairing matters. A Junkie without a Dealer has a miserable night. A Supervisor who never reads Role Details calls the police on vibes. None of that is a stationery task with a blue box.

Playtest lots — Community Center, Piss Creek Saloon, individual trailers — live on the park map. They may still move. The 27 August 2026 studio post said the team added an entirely new map and slid the date from 10 September to 17 September to polish it. That delay is documented on new map polish.

Do not import Dale & Dawson meeting habits wholesale. Firing someone for a coffee break is office logic. Voting a resident who never touched an urge is park logic. The left panel still tells you what to do. The banner tells you when it is illegal.

Community talk about support, not a verdict

Some Steam comments on the Dawson Oaks hub worry that Dale & Dawson had thin post-launch support. One thread told people not to buy from the studio. That is community discussion, not a ruling from this wiki. We will not write Dale & Dawson patch notes we cannot source, and we will not pretend Dawson Oaks has a live patch log before 17 September.
