Dawson Oaks Trailer Park new map delay

27 August 2026: an entirely new map, and one extra week so 17 September feels finished.

New Map

On 27 August 2026 Striped Panda Studios posted the only official reason the Dawson Oaks Trailer Park calendar moved. They were taking the Steam date from 10 September to 17 September 2026. They had been working hard into launch, including adding an entirely new map, and they wanted one extra week so everything felt polished and ready. They still expected to see players in Dawson Oaks on the 17th.

That is the entire studio sentence. This page exists so the delay is not a rumor screenshot. The paraphrased Steam posts live on official news. The date in isolation lives on release date. The sequence lives on the updates hub. Here we stay on the map: what they claimed, what playtests already showed, and what we refuse to draw.

The game is still upcoming: Windows Steam, $9.99 USD, app 3640200. Do not treat a leftover playtest install as the polished layout.

What the 27 August post did and did not say

The post did not name the new map. It did not publish a bird’s-eye. It did not list new lots, a second Community Center, or a replacement for Piss Creek Saloon. It did not say they were cutting content. It said they added an entirely new map and wanted polish time.

For a proximity-voice social deduction game, that is not a store-page footnote. Sightlines, porch light, trailer windows, and how far a whisper carries are the meta. A half-wired neighborhood on 10 September would have taught first-week lobbies the wrong distances. One extra week of collision, lighting, and voice-range work is the official excuse. We will not add “console certification” or “legal review” on top of it.

If a calendar app still says 10 September, it is quoting the 14 August Hello Snitches! announcement that also locked $9.99 USD. That first post is still useful for price. It is not useful for the night you actually press Start.

Playtest lots that may change

Closed playtests and official screenshots already named a small geography. Learn it as a draft, not as a launch floorplan. The long landmark writeup is the park map.

  • Community Center Main Room — meetings. The banner reads MEETING IN PROGRESS / VOTE OUT THE SNITCH! This is where suspects hunt a hidden Snitch, not the public Supervisor.
  • Piss Creek Saloon — bar rail, bartender, slots, and Community Service voice. Voted-out players can only speak inside the bar.
  • Trailers — kitchens, a WC, a bathtub, porches. HOME TRAILER and BATHTUB markers send you indoors. Snitch-only urges include watching from a window.
  • Lots, dumpsters, mailboxes — transit and micro objectives. Yelling on a porch hits neighbors; whispering in a kitchen does not.

Those names may grow, shift, or get a neighbor after the polish week. Sanity, urges, meetings, and the public Supervisor are the spine that should survive. Geography might not. When the 17 September build is in libraries, come back to this page and to studio news instead of memorizing a fan sketch.

Why a new map eats a launch week

Dawson Oaks is not a menu fighter. You talk only to people in earshot. A Dealer who sells on the wrong porch is a confession. A Supervisor on Community Center steps can see a threshold crime. A Snitch in a window can log who arrived late to a vote. Changing the lot graph changes every one of those sentences. This wiki will not invent a second hall or a secret warehouse. The studio did not publish those details.

Playtest VODs (PaymoneyWubby, KYRSP33DY, ShadesOfNate, Jozzoh) show the older neighborhood. They are still useful for how to play and Getting Started — sanity, crime banners, trading as cover — and they are a poor atlas for 17 September. Use the extra days on habits that survive a layout swap: do not crime in the Supervisor’s face, do not narrate your left-panel list. The lobby checklist assumes you will learn landmarks before you scream a task name. Confirm Windows specs while you wait.

Playtest keys will not preview the polished map

Steam threads in August 2026 asked Is the Playtest closed? Invited players reported that an invite would not download because the title is not released. The closed playtest is over. Leftover keys are not a tour of the new layout. Wait for the 17 September store unlock. Community manager Elisa pointed people at the official Discord. See playtest keys.

If someone offers you a “map preview build,” treat it as a scam unless it arrives as a Steam gift after the store unlocks. Official distribution is app 3640200. This wiki will update landmark names when the studio names them.

Players coming from Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies should not expect the office floorplan. Same studio, same left-panel DNA, different neighborhood. See vs Dale & Dawson.

What to do before 17 September

Move any 10 September lobby to the 17th. Wishlist Steam. Join Discord for party-finding, not fake keys. Read Getting Started so the first night is not a tutorial in public. Skim the park map as a playtest draft. Recheck official news on the 16th in case a third Steam post exists.

The park opens when Steam says it opens. The new map is why the week exists, not a reason to buy a gray-market key.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about roles, meetings, and the Steam launch.

Why did Dawson Oaks Trailer Park move to 17 September 2026?

The 27 August 2026 Steam post said the team added an entirely new map and wanted one extra week of polish. The first announcement had named 10 September.

What is on the new map?

The studio did not publish a layout. Playtests showed Community Center, Piss Creek Saloon, and trailers. Treat those as a draft. Landmark detail lives on the park map.

Will the Community Center and Piss Creek Saloon still exist?

They existed in playtests. The delay exists specifically to polish a new map, so lots may change. We will rename rooms when official posts do.

Can a leftover playtest key show me the new map?

No. August 2026 Steam threads reported closed invites that would not download because the title is not released. See playtest keys and wait for the store unlock.

Where is the official delay post?

On the [Steam news hub](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3640200). This wiki paraphrases it on official news and the updates hub.
