Dawson Oaks Trailer Park Studio posts, paraphrased

Hello Snitches named the price. The 27 August note moved the date for a new map. No fake patch notes.

Official News

Striped Panda Studios talks to players on Steam news and Discord, not through a flood of patch PDFs. Before launch there are two posts that actually change your calendar, plus community status around Discord and the closed playtest. This page paraphrases them in plain language, points you at the Steam news hub for Dawson Oaks Trailer Park, and refuses to invent a 1.0.1 changelog. For the date in isolation use release date. For the sequence use the updates hub. For the delay reason in isolation use new map polish.

We are an unofficial wiki. If the wording here and the Steam post disagree, the Steam post wins.

14 August 2026 — “Hello Snitches!”

The first dated announcement opened with Hello Snitches! The studio thanked people who had already put hours into playtests, feedback, and community noise. They said they were finally ready to name a day: Dawson Oaks Trailer Park would release on 10 September 2026. They also named the price in the same breath: $9.99 USD.

The rest of the note was a soft ask, not a feature dump. Wishlist the game if you had not. Share it with the friends you actually want in proximity voice. Join Discord. There was no list of new roles, no promise of a public playtest wave, and no coupon. Closed keys stayed closed; see playtest keys if you are still hoping a string from that era works.

Read in context, the post is a confidence check after months of streamer sessions. It is also why older videos and tweets still say 10 September. They were correct on the day they were published. They are not correct now.

27 August 2026 — the map delay

Thirteen days later the studio posted again: Dawson Oaks Trailer Park now releases 17 September. The body is short and specific. They were moving from the 10th to the 17th. They had been working hard into launch, including adding an entirely new map, and they wanted one extra week so everything felt polished and ready. They said they know an extra week of waiting sucks. They still expected to see players in Dawson Oaks on the 17th.

That is the entire official reason. Not “console certification,” not “legal review,” not a secret mode they refused to ship. A new map plus polish. For a proximity-voice park, layout is the meta: porches, lots, the Community Center, Piss Creek Saloon, and wherever the Supervisor can stand and still hear a Dealer. One week of lighting, collision, and voice-range work is a better first impression than hitting 10 September with a half-wired neighborhood.

If you already booked 10 September, move the lobby. If a friend swears the delay means the game is in trouble, point them at the post instead of a rumor screenshot. The links hub and community pages mark Discord and Steam discussions as the places to ask follow-ups. The dedicated writeup of that polish week is new map polish.

Community status: Elisa’s pin and a closed playtest

The two official Steam posts are still the only ones that change your calendar: Hello Snitches on 14 August, and the map delay on 27 August. Beside them sits community status, which does not rewrite the date.

Community manager Elisa pinned a Steam discussion titled Join Offical Discord! (studio spelling) that sends questions, support, and development talk to https://discord.gg/BPHFnekCYg. Treat that pin as a signpost, not a third news post and not a patch note.

In August 2026, Steam threads asked Is the Playtest closed? Invited testers said the client would not download because the title is not released. That matches a closed playtest that is over. The next public build is the 17 September store unlock, not a leftover key. Details live on playtest keys. Do not treat an invite error as proof the store unlocked early.

What we will not write

  • Day-one patch notes that do not exist.
  • Role nerfs copied from a Discord joke.
  • A claim that the Steam unlock already happened or that a secret storefront copy exists.
  • Promo codes. There are none; the codes hub stays empty on purpose.

After 17 September 2026, new rows on this page will only appear when Steam news or the studio site publishes something we can paraphrase. Balance changes will name the role. Map changes will name the landmark if the studio does. If they post a known-issues thread, we will link it rather than restating crash logs we cannot reproduce.

How to read studio channels without getting spun

Steam news is the dated paper trail. Discord is faster and messier. The website at stripedpanda.com is the studio home. Email contact@stripedpanda.com is for support, not for demanding a key. Community manager Elisa already pointed Steam hub readers at Discord; treat that pin as a signpost, not as a patch note.

If you are prepping a first lobby while you wait, ignore the news cycle for an hour and open Getting Started, how to play, the Supervisor page, and the lobby checklist. The 17 September build will still ask you not to crime in the Supervisor’s face, no matter how many maps they polish.

Check this article again on the 16th. If a third official post exists, it will be the new top section. If it does not, the delay note remains the latest word.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about roles, meetings, and the Steam launch.

Where are the official Dawson Oaks Trailer Park news posts?

On the [Steam news hub](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3640200) and in the [Striped Panda Discord](https://discord.gg/BPHFnekCYg). This page only paraphrases them.

Did Hello Snitches set the price?

Yes. The 14 August 2026 post named 10 September 2026 and $9.99 USD. The later delay changed the date, not the announced price.

What did the 27 August post actually say?

The team moved launch from 10 September to 17 September 2026 because they added an entirely new map and wanted a polish week.

Why are there no patch notes on this wiki?

The game has not launched. Inventing a patch log would be fiction. We will add notes only after official Steam posts exist.

What did community manager Elisa post?

A Steam pin pointing people at the official Discord. August threads also asked if the playtest was closed; leftover invites would not download. See playtest keys.
